Liza kidnaps Áine P. Massie--Blood Bound

Welcome Peeps.
Today I've kidnapped someone who seems to have two names, but today we interview Áine (pronounced Aw knee.... like awww, my knee just went out.)  Which oddly reminds me how to greet someone in Taiwan: That sounds like Knee How Maw.

Peep Rep: Can we return to our kidnapped victim?

Liza: Did I invite you to this kidnapping?

Peep Rep: In fact, you did. You said Welcome Peeps, and I'm Peep Rep.

Liza: What are you? A lawyer?

Peep Rep: No, but I have several on speed dial. One of which, you have previously kidnapped.

Liza: Ah Nancy Goodman, my very first kidnapping. The first one is always special.

Peep Rep: *nods* Yes, the FBI profiler thinks so as well.

Liza: What profiler?

Peep Rep: The one who showed up after you interviewed SD Skye. They evidently don't like to see their own so mistreated.

Liza: Hey, she had the gun and could have shot me any time. She chose to be goodnatured about Bad Liza's antics.

Peep Rep: Ah...you're going for the multiple personality defense...interesting.

Liza: Glad you think so, now would you like to guess who I've kidnapped. I'll give you some hints.

She's the author of the House Millar series and a Wiccan Priestess.

Peep Rep: A real Wiccan Priestess or a fictitious one?

Liza: A real one.

Peep Rep: Any chance she can fix you?

Liza: *growls* I'm not broken. Now guess who I kidnapped or go away.

Peep Rep: You already gave it away. Áine P Massie, author of the House Millar Series.

Liza: Welcome Áine. Mind if I use your initials because my keyboard doesn't want to put that raindrop on top of the A.

APM: That's fine, but could you loosen my ropes, I feel like I'm being swallowed by an anaconda.

Liza: Probably a residual fear from living in Florida. There are anacondas running a muck down there, but no worry, you live in Wisconsin now. No way will they make their way up there...unless Global Warming really does exist.

APM: You don't believe in Global Warming?

Liza: Absolutely. But I think it takes catastrophic events to set if off.  Like meteors crashing through our atmosphere and slamming in to a tectonic plate.

APM: Liza, you do realize that just happened.

Liza: How is it no one saw that thing hurdling down upon us?

Peep Rep: Sorry to interrupt your rambling chat, but we want to hear about Áine's books.

Liza: Excellent idea, since we happened to have an expert on these particular books in our midst today.

Liza: Beautiful cover, but good luck getting rid of those tattoos. Now what number is this in the House Millar series?

APM: Blood Bound is book #2 in the House Millar series. And don’t worry, only her navel tat and piercing is permanent ;)

Liza: Thank goodness! Well, tell us about the story.

APM: How many ways can a hearts true love be shared?

Liza: I've no idea.

Peep Rep: Liza, that's the start of her blurb!

Liza: My bad. Let me get my labels out.

How many ways can a hearts true love be shared?
After poisoning, near death attacks, consummated passions, and possible insanity visit Anya, Nicholas, and Declán they embark on their future. Or at least they try to. Jealousy can be a pain, in more ways than one.

Come take a walk with our loving family and witness the strange turns and twists as life, love, and passions collide with greed, politics, and evil.

Liza: Sounds great. Where can we buy it?

Liza: And upon extensive research, I have discovered the following information.

BIO
Áine P Massie is originally from Florida, she now lives in Wisconsin where she works on her House Millar series full time while raising four children (the term herding cats comes to mind). Her major inCollege was Childhood Education (specializing in ages 0-5) with a minor study in Deaf Culture/ASL. She is also a Wiccan priestess dedicated to the gods, family, and love.

Áine is a proud member of the Rom-Critters and a life-long reader. Áine has always had a particular fascination with vampires, mythology, and the unusual. When she can escape from her children and books, she enjoys . . . oh yes, reading, playing, ritual, a good cappuccino, and working with her healing stones.

Her first published work came in high school where she was part of a writing and drama group. But, she’s been reading the likes of Shakespeare and Poe since late elementary school and enjoys most forms of fiction. Blood’s Voice has been a long time in coming and with its publication (June 1st 2011) Áine embarked on a new chapter in her life.

Liza: Now Áine  you only have to do one last thing before getting released.

APM: What?

Liza: Tell everyone how much you love my book.

APM: I thought it was well written and inspiring, honestly. The topics throughout the story are harsh and at times pretty depressing BUT they are also very important and needed for the plot. Liza’s writing is straight forward, yet very engaging and even if she has kidnapped me, I’d still happily recommend this book to those who love true depth to the characters and the story.

Liza: Well done, Now I can take the cost of your abduction as an expense. Oh and here's your dollar.

APM: For what?

Liza: For providing me marketing services.

APM: You are an  original, I'll give you that.

Liza: Okay peeps, please comment. You know how much I love to hear from you guys, and it will encourage our guest not to press charges.

Liza interviews Stacey Brutger- Night Sworn

Hello peeps. Today we are interviewing Stacey Brutger and her book Blood Sworn.

Peep Rep: We're interviewing her book? Does it talk or throw words from the pages at us?

Liza: Seriously, peeps, you need to elect a new representative.

Peep Rep: Or you could just not say silly things...

Liza: Welcome Stacey!

Stacey: Hi Liza, Peep Rep.

Liza: Hold on! No talking to the Peep Rep. You don't want to go there.

Stacey: Sorry. Are there other rules I should know about?

Liza: No, that should do it. Now let's talk about your special treat for my peeps.  I understand you have a  giveaway going on someplace.

Stacey: Yes, at--

Liza: Don't tell them now. We'll hide the link somewhere in the blog. You don't want them running off without reading your interview do you?

Stacey: I suppose that depends on how the interview goes. I've heard you can be pretty bad.

Liza: Don't worry about it.

Stacey: Then you're planning to go easy on me?

Liza: All I'm saying is worrying does no good. So relax and enjoy life while you still can.

So let's get to the interview, shall we.
How'd you/your muse come up with this story?

Stacey: I don’t have a muse, at least not one that has introduced themself yet. My books usually start with a fully blown scene, characters/setting, everything already formed. My ideas brew in the back of my mind for months if not years. Once I start a story, my characters take off running, and I usually end up scrambling to keep up with them.

BREAKING FOXLIKE NEWS -- NO TIME TO FACT CHECK

Stacey Brutger refuses to give her muse copyright credits. Giant lawsuit in the making once we locate muse. Believed to be held captive and forced to work for free without credit.

Stacey: Liza!

Liza: Ignore those. No one reads them.  Now, describe the hero in five words.
Stacey: Loyal. Alpha. Fierce. Warrior. Devoted.

Liza: The heroine.
Stacey: Brave. Resourceful. Unrelenting. Determined. Lonely.

Liza: Who's your favorite character in the book & why?
Stacey: Oh, how is that fair? I have more than one favorite character! If I had to choose one in my latest release, I would have to pick Beast. He’s Merrick’s lion and very elusive until the end of the book. I have managed to capture a picture of him on my site if you want to see him…

Liza: Not necessary. I dangled the scent of Peep Rep and he came right over.

Peep Rep: oooooo, we like! Can I pet him?

Stacey: I wouldn't--

Liza: Of course you can. In fact, when he opens his mouth to say hello, stick your head inside. That way he'll hear you better.

Peep Rep: *disappears in the mouth of the lion*

Stacey: Merrick, spit Peep Rep out right now!

Liza: It's okay Merrick. You were hungry. The peeps can elect a new rep. Don't worry about it.

Merrick opens mouth wide and Peep Rep hops out holding a pointed bone.

Peep Rep: Stacey, you need to check Merrick's teeth ever so often. He had a bone wedged between two back incisors.

Stacey: Thank you for removing it.

Liza: Stacey, how hard can it be to remember one rule: Don't talk to Peep Rep.

Stacey: Sorry, I was just being polite.

Peep Rep: Liza doesn't do politeness. She was raised by feral cats.

Liza: Stacey doesn't need to know that. *turns to Stacey* What's your favorite line in your story?

Stacey: There are a couple of lines that tickle my funny bone, but the one I selected makes me smile each time I read it.

Background: Trina wakes up Merrick, startling him, and he believes they are under attack. He tackles her, covering her with his body to protect her. Only he’s naked.

Favorite line:
Trina didn’t wait for him to stand, but scrambled backwards, her eyes anywhere but on him and his now very happy dangly parts.

Peep Rep: Happy dangly parts...that's funny.

Stacey: *smiles and opens mouth to speak*

Liza: Not a word! Now, back to the interview.
We all have secrets. Tell us about your characters’ secrets and what will happen if they get out.

Stacey: Both my characters have huge secrets that could get them killed.

Merrick’s secret is revealed in the first chapter, an injury that he’s determined the rest of his pack never discover. For if they knew the truth, that he wasn’t healing, he would lose everything he held dear. The pack won’t tolerate any weakness in their Leo.

Trina’s secret is revealed in chapter two, but it’s not a very well-kept secret as almost everyone in the book knows she’s the last BloodSworn witch. If anyone catches her, she would either die a painful death or be enslaved for the rest of her short life.

Liza: What question do you wish I had asked you but didn’t?
Stacey: Zombies! Since my book has zombies (of a sort), I thought the classic zombie question should be asked. Would I survive a zombie attack? I’d love to say of course, but I’m just not sure. I’m resourceful. I have access to weapons. If I was by myself, my survival rate would shrink dramatically. I would run out of bullets long before the last zombie. So, would I survive? I think I would survive the zombies, but I’m not sure I would be able to scrounge up enough food to live much beyond that.

Liza: I don't see how lions have anything to do with zombies, so let's move to your blurb and excerpt, so I can possibly make the connection.

Ten years after they bound her powers and banished her, Trina Weyebridge had successfully carved out a new existence in the human world. She put her life as a witch behind her. But, her magic would not be denied, the bindings holding them in check are weakening. Vampires who crave a taste of the powers stored in her blood are hunting her with deadly force and have kidnapped her sister to lure her out. In a desperate bid to free her sister and gain her own freedom, Trina bargains with the all-too-tempting lion shifter who calls out the long forgotten wild side in her...she would be his concubine in return for pack protection. She’d be safe…until they found out the truth.

UNDENIABLE DESIRE. FORBIDDEN LOVE. INESCAPABLE DESTINY.

When Merrick spots a female intruder living on his property, he’s intrigued by her daring. Curious to find out more, he follows her and comes to her aid when she falls prey to an attack. After weeks of unnatural silence, his beast awakens at her touch, and he suspects that she might be the only one able to save his race from a disease killing his kind. Not willing to take the chance of losing her, he binds her to him the only way he knows how…by claiming her as his own. All he has to do to save her is uncover the secrets of her past, stop a pack revolt, convince her that she’s desperately in love with him in return, and prevent a war.

Trina woke when the mattress touched her back, or maybe it was the lack of Merrick’s arms around her. She instantly missed his warmth.

She struggled to sit, cursing the darkness, but wondered if she should be thanking it. If she could see, she would know where he stood and would be all the more tempted to pull him into bed with her. “We need to work on your back.”

Back, not front, she reminded herself.

“You’re exhausted. We can do that in the morning.”

“We’ll lose progress. It will hurt worse if we wait.” But maybe he was right. In their current mood, one touch would ignite the passion that’d been brewing between them since they’d first met. Neither needed the complication of sex mixed in this mess. “Or you can take a bath in that mini pool you call a tub. Turn on the water as hot as you can stand it and soak for half an hour.”

The lights to the bathroom flicked on. He pursed his lips, something that should’ve made him appear feminine or pouty. Instead, she wondered if they would taste as inviting as they looked. “I’ll make you a deal. You stay in bed and don’t move, and I’ll do as you say.”

Putting action to words, he tugged off his shirt. She quickly drew up her feet, fearing he would stop. She was staring, but she couldn’t help it. There was something mesmerizing about seeing all that muscle in motion.

When her gaze finally wandered up to his, breathing became difficult. She half-expected a leer or a crude pass. All she saw was welcoming heat.

She found herself relaxing against the pillows, silently inviting him closer, itching to get her hands all over him.

As if to prolong the chase, he turned away and headed toward the bathroom, unbuttoning his jeans.

A bit of her mourned that he’d moved before she saw what was revealed. The other part of her breathed a sigh of relief to be spared. She tried to tell herself that she was glad, but the lie wasn’t convincing even to herself.

Unable to help herself, she curled up on her side and watched him ready the tub. When he straightened, the last thing she expected was for him to strip off his pants.

No underwear.

That was the only thought circling her mind. She couldn’t seem to think past that. He lowered himself in the tub, and she watched the play of muscles in a sort of unbreakable fascination.

He settled deeper into the water, his head back, his eyes closed. She could easily envision him being pleasured. Her gaze was glued on his hand as it disappeared under the surface.

Liza: I'm sure he's just searching for the soap.

Stacey: Liza, that last sentence is not part of my official bio.

Liza: No, this came from my investigator. He's very lazy, so I suspect he got it from FoxLike News, and they just make stuff up. Don't worry, no one reads the bios anyway.

Liza Kidnaps Bobbi Romans - Swamp Magic

Liza: I snagged a most interesting author today for your amusement. Had to trudge through a swamp and fight an alligator to get her.

Finally, I located my author in a god-awful swamp hut, hiding out in the closet, typing a new novel.

Would anyone like to guess who the author might be?

Peep-Rep: Now who's talking down to the peeps. All they have to do is look at the post title. It's the wonderful Bobbi Romans.

Liza: Don't be too sure. I'm so frazzled these days, I could have picked up the wrong person. So let's see.

Liza: You're Bobbi, right?

Bobbi: And you must be Bad Liza.

Liza: Liza will do, for now. So how'd a girl from Chicago end up in the swamp. I thought you guys ended up in the concrete of new buildings.

Bobbi: 'You guys?'

Liza: * pushes side of her nose*  You know...mafia, wise guys.

Bobbi: I'm not mafia.

Liza: Ha! Why else would you hide in a swamp?
Speaking of which, what's the biggest snake you've ever seen?

Bobbi: At a reptile show I was able to hold Buttercup. She was huge but I don't remember her size. Living in Florida however there have been numerous snake encounters. Nearly stepping on a moccasin. My son age 5 handing me a baby one. And of course the snakes in the pool encounters. Just harmless Oak/Rat snakes.

Glass Snake
My favorite snake (yes I like snakes) is truly a reptile. Matter of fact, it's what Moss shares his soul with. A Glass snake also known as a legless lizard. When you move your head, they change colors. From iridescent blues to purples. For Moss, his tattoos change shades in the same way. Sadly though they are NOT a snake, due to their snake-like appearance are most often killed.

Liza: I saw a 15 foot Water Moccasin when I was a kid, but the two adults who also saw it too are both dead and I've no credibility, so no one believes me.

Peep Rep: That's because the biggest water moccasin on record is only six foot long.

Liza: Well, I mistook this guy for a large tree for a half-hour before I realized I'd seen that pattern before. He was nearly a foot in diameter and when the lunatic in my boat pulled out a gun and started shooting it, that snake took forever to leave.

Bobbi: Liza, do you really need me here to discuss a snake beyond all parameters of reality? I was writing a new novel when you abducted me.

Liza: My bad. Everybody welcome Bobbi.

Peep Rep: Hi Bobbi. What book have you brought us today?

Bobbi: Swamp Magic.

Liza: That is a fabulous book cover. Let's have the blurb for this delicious eye candy crawling through the swamp. How does he stay so handsome?

Deep in the muggy swamps where there is but one rule, kill or be killed, a new species has emerged - born not from nature but spawned from evil.
Octavia wasn’t stupid. Those unfortunate souls who have crossed paths with her didn’t just become swamp creatures, they became the least deadly of them. She hadn’t counted on the strong spirits of those she’d cursed.

From those murky swamp depths, a hero emerged. The type from which legends are born.

Moss, whose sensual iridescent tattoos are in fact thanks to his reptilian side, still struggles to come to terms with his fate and wants nothing more than to be left alone.

Beth’s life becomes upturned when she reluctantly agrees to accompany her idiotic brother on a hunt for the Bog Man. When she becomes separated from the others she comes face to face with the legend himself . . . only no one ever mentioned how damn sexy he was.

The swamp’s dark history tests the duo on their survival skills as well as luring them deeper into the magic of the swamp.
Sensuality Level: Sensual

The water eerily stilled as the swamp sounds came to an abrupt halt. No screeching hoot owls, no more insanely loud chirps from crickets. Nothing. No movement or sound pierced the night. Complete and utter silence greeted her. The loss of the natural sounds terrified her more than anything else. Something had spooked the critters and bugs, and her gut screamed that whatever it was, with her luck, was so not a good something.
Time to go. She slid off the log and began wading toward the cabin — or, rather, she hoped toward the cabin.

She felt more than heard the water swirling about her calves and whipped around to search for its source. Her heart rate went into overdrive as her palms grew sweaty, making it harder and harder to retain her death grip on the flashlight.

Turning, she began taking cautious steps backwards toward the bend and the hopeful safety of the shanty she’d seen. Her beam was now so dim, the heavy-gauge metal was more weapon than light as she raised it over her head, aiming toward the swirls moving the deeper water to her right. In the midst of the strange whirlpools, the odd yet mesmerizing iridescence came back. Only this time it wasn’t almost glowing — it was glowing. The eerie, greenish blue spiraled about madly, only visible here and there as it peeked out between the many lily pads, obscuring her view.
Terror gripped her, anchoring her in place as headlights do a deer over the freaky happenings before her. Trembling, her mind screamed to turn and run, but her body refused to heed her mind’s clear warning. Her heart beat with such velocity she swore it would burst from her chest at any moment. She couldn’t even seem to will breath into her body, and her lungs grew heavy. Her breathing became no more than ragged gasps as she began to hyperventilate.
Her eyes widened as the active water began to become more centered. Fear froze her immobile. Though terrified, she continued to be drawn, almost as if in a trance, into its strange murky depths. Her vision zeroed on the brightest point amid the swirls, jaw gaping open as a form began to emerge.
The form of a man.
He rose from the murky depths like some type of Greek deity, Neptune perhaps. Her mouth grew dry as he continued his slow rise, inch by glorious inch. Terror receded as blatant curiosity arose. She tried to lick her parched lips as droplets of water ran down his wet, chiseled chest and continued running until they disappeared into the low-slung waistband of his pants. Pants which, luckily for her, were good and wet and plastered to his magnificent body, leaving little to the rest of her imagination. She nibbled her bottom lip, wanting to lick just one of those lucky, lush little droplets rolling down him.
One jerk of his head moved the long, dirty-blond hair enough to reveal the face of a god. Eyes so intensely green she swore they penetrated her soul.
And shoulders, oh, so big, they would devour her if she were embraced within. Bronzed skin that had been kissed by many a sunray, abs that rippled right down his belly. Part of a beautiful tattoo was visible as it spread about his stomach in a unique pattern, seeming to come from his back.
She’d gone mad. She should be running in stark fear, yet here she stood watching a man emerge from the swamp and wondering about being wrapped safely in those huge arms. Her fingers itched to run them over every hard, muscled ridge, all the way down to …
Too much heat — yes, that explained everything. She’d passed out from heat stroke and this was some weird delusion. One smoking hot sex delusion at that. It had been quite a while since she’d been with anyone intimately.
Her vivid delusion began heading straight toward her, a severe look drawn on his face, almost hungry and predatory in nature.
Holy smokes, she thought, licking her lips at the sight. Again her eyes drew toward what lay just below those fabulous abs as hip bones sculpted the most perfect V shape she’d ever seen. Her imaginary man would have been better completely and utterly naked; however, her luck seemed to have run out in that department.
The delusion seemed to beckon her as it stretched out a hand and one long finger pointed at her and began motioning her toward him. All the iridescent colors coming from him and the water began blending with the night and foggy air, swirling faster and faster in a tornadic display of light and color. Her head swam with it all, until from the heat, shock and fear, she succumbed to the pull of oblivion, and sank welcomingly into it.

5-Star Amazon Reviews!
and a trailer too.

Liza: Wow, that story sounds really great.

Peep Rep: And more believable than your 15 foot water moccasin.

Liza: I'm standing by what I saw. My mother thought it was 20 feet long. But she tends to exaggerate.

Peep Rep: Can we stay focused on Bobbi and Swamp Magic.

Bobbi: Peeps, I'll give one of you guys a copy of Swamp Magic if you'll just untie me so I can get home.

Liza: Hold on, you can't leave until you say something nice about my book Saving Casey. Otherwise, I can't take off your kidnapping expenses on my taxes.

Bobbi Romans Promotes Saving Casey

The concept's great. Who wouldn't dream of getting a do-over? Okay, I'm channeling my mother. Hell, I'm zoning in on my grandmother too...but C'Mon. To know what we know now AND be young again? Think about how we'd all rock! Sadly, the downfall I hear for Casey is that she came back uh, a few years too young for the man of her dreams. That would totally suck. Unless...

Liza: Don't even go there.  Here's the buy links for Swamp Magic.

Dumb Liza Kidnaps a Bookshelf.

Buenos Dias mi amigos.
I've re-kidnapped Karen's bookshelf  because this tour  goes through Feb 28 so you still have time to participate...not here, but on Karen's blog. I'll give you the link to it later. First I want you to laugh a bit. It's good for you

If you remember, I couldn't find an author to kidnap...they've all starting locking their doors and removing the welcome mats.

So I took up the dangerous occupation of kidnapping bookshelves.

Peep Rep: That's got to be the saddest thing we've ever heard. I'm passing out tissues...

This is Karen Y. Bynum's  bookshelf. She had three of them made by the talented Danielle Fine, but I chose this one to steal.

Can you tell why I might have been attracted to this particular bookshelf. Was it the cute little fairy or the howling wolf?

Peep Rep: Given you always make your kidnapped victims promote Saving Casey before you release them, I believe you chose the only bookshelf that was capable of doing that. Unlike humans, bookshelves don't really care if they get kidnapped or returned. The other two shelves would not have promoted your book--not even if you kept them until they crumpled into digital dust.

Thank you, Peep Rep, for stating the obvious. Please stop talking down to my followers.

Peep Rep: In case you've forgotten. I represent your followers. I would never talk down to myself. I was talking down to someone else. Can you guess who?

Think carefully...

Liza: Here's some advice to anyone who's thinking about letting their followers have representatives to speak for them.
DON'T

Peep Rep: Nonsense, we are a wonderful addition to your methods to communicate to your followers. For example, we feel Liza has forgotten the purpose of her blog entirely and we will try to bring her back to it's purpose. Watch how adept we are at doing this:

Oh, Liza. Why did Karen have all these bookshelves built?

Liza: She has a Bookentine's Day Extravaganza going on from Feb 14-28. She presents the 17 books on her bookshelves in a unique way.

Peep Rep: How so?

Liza: Well instead of going on and on about a book, she made us be very brief and write a Haiku.

Peep Rep: You wrote a Haiku?

Liza: I think so. And I had to provide a one sentence summary of my book.

Peep Rep: That must have killed you.

Liza: Nearly did, yes.

Peep Rep: Are there prizes on Karen's site?

Liza: In fact, there are. The 17 authors are giving away a copy of their books away to three lucky winners.

Peep Rep: What are the books?

Liza: Saving Casey and...uhhhhh

Peep Rep: How about the link so we can check it ourselves?

Liza: That I know: Bookentine's Day Extravaganza

Peep Rep: All right followers. Let's all head over to Karen's blog.

Liza: Hold on! I want a bigger endorsement for Saving Casey.

Bookshelf Rep: I'll do it.
Buy Saving Casey. It's a fabulous novel. We've no idea how Liza wrote it. But she did and you'll thoroughly enjoy it.

When she awakens in a hospital, Cass discovers two disturbing facts: One, she is now inside the body of a troubled teenager, and two, the former owner of this body committed suicide, but only Cass knows that. Everyone else believes Casey has survived, but suffered a complete memory loss. Cass has two choices: to take on Casey’s life and turn it around, or to confess the truth about her reincarnation and end up in a mental asylum. Given this second chance at life, Cass decides to take on the future life of Casey—the frightening ghoul-faced teen with short, black, spiky hair.

Every person around Cass has an ulterior motive and discovering the truth of Old Casey’s life is more complicated than the “new math” she is forced to learn in school. In addition, Cass has to contend with raging teenage hormones and the prior crimes of Old Casey, which she might not remember, but everyone else certainly does. However, her biggest frustration concerns her feelings for her father’s rugged security specialist who sees her only as a teenager and doesn’t want to explore the mutual attraction between them.

Will her second chance at life prove to be worth the struggles she has to overcome?
