2 books are needed to introduce Angel of Mercy

You may be wondering why I handed up two of my novels for 99 cents to introduce Angel of Mercy. It's because of a curse.

I am now convinced certain books get curses, also known as: If it is not charming mafia, do not touch it...OR ELSE YOU'LL BE SLEEPING WITH THE FISH.

Sounds crazy right?

Yet, A Fortune to Die For is unquestionably cursed.

When it first came out, it looked shiny and ready to fly.

Then Amazon ate a bunch of it's reviews and it's star began to crumble.

Of it's 13 reviews remaining, it has 10 5 stars, 1 four star and 1 three star.

Here's the three star one:
Excellent book. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Weird, right?
Either she's a '3 is great' person (which it's not, by the way) or
She meant to hit a 4 or 5 and slipped up,
or the curse moved it to 3.

Still, by her own words, she thought it an excellent book and thoroughly enjoyed it.

In addition, whenever I try to run a promo with A Fortune to Die For, it is always rejected. No book of mine has ever been so rejected as this one.

And since no one gets the opportunity to discover it during 99 cent promos, no one reads the other two books of the series either.

It's all very sad.

So I created new covers....

Only, everyone like my original cover, the first one. So I stayed with my current cover but made it better.

And I resubmitted it to Robin Reads and ERNT,
my two favorite promo services,
certain that now they would love it.
NO THANKS came their response.

Needing a promo for the new book Angel of Mercy, I called up Worst Week Ever and that was accepted right off.

99 Cents 9/29-10/5

But one of the minor promotional services had already agreed to promo A Fortune to Die For, and since they did, I am running both books for 99 cents.

While writing this, I looked at the cover and realized the gun wasn't all there.  (This curse is never ending! I had fixed that problem a month ago, only I had so many varieties of this cover now (about thirteen of them) that I must have picked up the wrong cover to give to Amazon. Bash head on table....  So the cover below is the right cover, with a gun and the fixed the series title. It is now White Oak Bk--just in case the mafia is truly my problem.

99 cents

That means my best loved book and my least loved book (as decided by the promo gurus) will be 99 cents from Sept 29-Oct 5.

Over 30,000 of you already own Worst Week Ever, so I encourage you to try A Fortune to Die For. It's fun, snarky, and is the first of a trilogy which I love. It is also more in line with the new book I'm releasing: Angel of Mercy.

Angel of Mercy
Liza O'Connor

Carla Jones accidentally runs over and paralyzes a policeman. She ignores her lawyer's advice and pleads guilty to the charges, and accepts the judge’s ruling ‘that she broke him, now she has to fix him.’ Trying very hard to ignore his outrageous and frequently hateful behavior, she takes the handsome officer into her home and dedicates her life to one goal: making him walk again. She never imagines the twists and turns her life and heart will take the day she brings him home.

Coming OCT 5 2017

And do I really believe a good book can be cursed.
Yes, I do.
A Fortune to Die For
is a good book and it
is definitely cursed.
And the curse has no end to the trouble it can get into.

For example. If you upload the book during the promo, you will probably get the bad cover, because Amazon is slow to fix covers.

However, you should still buy it at 99 cents
and then have Amazon refresh your copy in about a week to get the better cover.

I apologize for this.
I truly uploaded the new cover a month ago,
only, thanks to the curse,
I uploaded the WRONG cover.
I swear, this curse just keeps on giving!

Liza formally hates curses.
Doesn't anyone know how to curse a curse?
