A GhostWalker's Love Story by Liza O'Connor

A Ghost Walker’s
Love Story

Why was Alice so hated by the other ghost walkers?
Most of the other ghost walkers were highly controlled by Tobias with a long list of things they cannot do. In fact, all they can do is makes themselves beautiful and go out for a quickie with humans or other ghost walkers.

Alice, on the other hand, believes her gift requires her to help save people. So, she tries to keep the East Coast safe from terrorists. This is totally against Tobias’ rules, but he is in love with Alice, so he won’t stop her good deeds. However, he is very worried that her good deeds will get them all killed.

BLURB

Alice is a ghost walker: an ordinary person capable of separating her soul from her body. Unlike her fellow ghost walkers, she uses her ability trying to help protect the world from terrorists and madmen. Finding an FBI agent that she trusts, she supplies the information needed to stop several atrocities from occurring.

She believes she is safe from discovery. However, agent Jack Callaghan finds her with clever sleuthing and romances her with pure intent. Unfortunately, their unexpected union brings wrath down upon them from all sides. Her fellow ghost walkers believe she has betrayed their code of secrecy; the director and fellow agents question Jack’s commitment to the agency, and want Alice brought in so they can discover how she disappears at will. In this maelstrom of betrayals, Alice uncovers the truth about the three men who claim to love her and discovers which one holds true.

Warning: Alice is so dedicated to stopping terrorists that she will let nothing get in her way, not even when she discovers her body is being used against her will. Since she's not in her body when this happens, saving lives remains far more important!https://ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif

EXCERPT

Are you a Spook?
“There is going to be a car bombing in the Lincoln tunnel tomorrow morning. It will probably be a white van, no windows with the license plate AGI 453. However, don’t go and arrest the owner. He’s not involved. A man will steal his van tonight and drive it to a warehouse in Hoboken. A group of men waiting there will load it with explosives. In the morning, they’ll drive into the Lincoln tunnel during rush-hour and detonate it. They believe they have sufficient explosives to rupture the tunnel completely.”

“Where is the warehouse?”

“I don’t know. They called it the Hoboken warehouse, but they never provided an address and I could not find any paperwork with an address.”

“Who made references to the warehouse?”

“His name is Sihad Kasmir, but I don’t believe the warehouse is his. You must not contact Sihad or he will know someone has betrayed him.”

“Then how do you expect me to stop this?” Jack asked as his pencil drummed on his desk in frustration.

“The van—if you get to it this afternoon and place a tracer on it, then you’ll be able to track it to the warehouse and arrest the men and get their explosives.”

“That’s a reasonable plan,” he admitted. “Are you a spook?”

She laughed. “No, I’m not a ghost.”

He hadn’t meant a ghost, he had meant CIA, but he let it slide. “You know if you didn’t have such a good track record I’d never follow up on such a weak tip.”

“I don’t think it’s weak. I told you the probable vehicle, the plan and the date and time of the attack. I’d say that was quite a lot.”

“But what have we got if they don’t choose that white van? What if they are forced to steal someone else’s van?”

“Then I will follow them and call you with the location of the warehouse.”
